Too Late!

All day Kate had been talking about going to her Dad's rodeo, something that she absolutely loves. So right before we were to leave 3 new people in a row came in to get storage units, which I don't think has ever happen in the 4 years I have been here (Perfect timing). So we were late and missed seeing him rope. But Kate did get to see his horses and her Dad which are her two favorite parts anyways. For the rest of the day she would hit her head and say,"Oh no we forgot to go to the Rodeo". She was a little confused but we know there will be plenty more to see in the future.

why get a babysittier...........

........when you have cats? My Mother let kate keep her two cats for awhile because Kate has asked and asked if they could come stay at her house for quite some time now(And Yes they are hairless). It is the cutest thing to see how much she has loved these two cats. Both Kate and Savannah literally follow them around all day. Kate is constantly wanting to know where they are at and what they are doing, it is the first thing she asks about when she wakes up. They even have slept with her at night which was the cutest thing to see. One of the cats was cleaning it's leg or something and I was telling Kate that this is how Cat's take baths. Well about right after I had said that she starts licking the cats, but don't worry we did stop it as soon as it started. I have to say Nicholas has warmed up to them and he will pick them up if he has to, even though he does tries everything else before that happens. Savannah is also pretty funny with them, she has definitely learned a faster crawl since we have gotten them. She will sqweal and giggle at them constantly while she is following them around our house. The only picture I could get of her with the cats is the one with her trapping a cat in their cage because she wouldn't sit still with them around. I am sure these cats are thinking what did they get themselves into? But really they both are suprisingly nice and gentle with them. I was very into animals as a child and it is funny to see our girls get that quality from me. I think it is great for kids to grow up around animals, and hope one day we can have a whole bunch of different animals espically cats...and maybe even hairless.

So tired

For the most part Kate hasn't been taking naps anymore. So today she wanted to watch her show for the day and lay on our bed. It had been pretty quite for awhile so I went in and this is what I found. These cats can't resist laying next to someone sleeping. So precious.

Who needs dress ups?

Apparently Kate might need some dress ups to play in. A couple of days ago she came out wearing her Dad's shorts and saying they are her princess dresses. This is her Jasmine/Bell dress, she also has blue shorts which are Cinderella's dress. She likes to twirll and dance wearing these shorts and only wants us to call her by the princess name that she is pretending to be.It is pretty cute and I must say I am pretty impressed with Kate's imagination.

Waiting For Dad

When Nicholas is about home I will open the door and let Kate watch for him. As soon as she sees him she usually runs and hides until her Dad comes to find her. For some reason today she got out two steps one for her sit on and one for her dolls. Nicholas had a whole group waiting for him today. She looked so cute infront of our door talking to her dolls while she waiting for her Dad.

The Happiest Place on Earth

I don't even know how to describe how fun Disneyland was. It definetly exceeded our expectations. We went with my sister and her family and my Dad. It was fun because Rachel's family has been there a few times so they knew about everything and helped us all get around. I was a little nervous at first to see how Kate would be with the characters. She has only seen a few in her life and each one she was in tears over. But after seeing a few she loved them and was constantly asking to see more. The cutest thing was when we saw our first princess (which was Airel) Kate walked right up to her and just gave her the biggest hug. She hugged her for quite awhile and I don't think she would have let go if we didn't make her, It was the cutest thing ever. After that Kate was loving all the different princess and Sleeping Beauty is still her favorite. She was also so funny about the rides. The first couple she would kinda hide but keep one eye open just in case there was something exciting about to happen. She never cried or said she didn't want to go on rides. She really loved it and after her first 3 rides or so she was asking and asking for more rides. Her famous line of the trip was "Not Scarey". After every ride she would tell everyone "not scarey". She was kinda saying it just to make sure that it wasn't scarey for anyone else. The funniest was when she would tell Savannah that. Savannah also loved seeing all the differnt things, just as long as her Mom was with her. She decided to turn into a momma'a girl and would cry and try to work so hard if anyone held her. I thought Disneyland would have the same effect on her as Las Vegas did but she didn't come out of her shell as much. But, I think it was because she was to busy studying and watching everything. Going into Disneyland Nicholas had me believing he was not a ride person, which is far from the truth. He went on every ride, lots of times even twice. Our whole family had so much fun. It was especially fun to go with my family. My Dad was such a good sport and there were times he kinda was like a little kid. I guess that is what Disneyland does to people.
We probably talk about Dineyland and all of Kate's favorite rides 20 times a day. It was well worth it and I hope we can go again sooner rather than later.
