Kate Did It!!!!!!

Kate is officially potty trained. About six months ago Kate went to the bathroom on the toilet and she hated it and was scared. I couldn't get her back on their even with candy. So I decided to wait till she was ready. Everyone tells you that they know when they are ready and they couldn't be more right. Sunday night she kept taking her diaper off every time she went to the bathroom in it. She did it again on Monday so I asked her if she wanted to go on the toilet and get some candy, and she for some reason was very excited to do it. So she probably spent most of the day just sitting on the toilet eating candy. She did so good and was especially proud of herself as were we all. We had lots of screaming and dancing in our house on Monday. She even woke up that night to go to the bathroom. She is going on day 3 has had only about 3 accidents and has done so awesome. She has been on cloud 9 since Monday and is acting so goofy and funny, it is pretty hilarious. Good Job kate!!

The Pirate Ride

The Golf cart, Our car, the swing and even sometimes the horses are all referred to the Pirate Ride at Disneyland. Anytime Kate is riding on any of these things Kate will scream "Go Pirate ride, go faster". She loves pretending the horses are the pirates or the snowman from the Madahorn and they are coming to get her. She also will sometimes call her rides the Madahorn or even the mean mom ride(this is a ride she made up but I think she is referring to the Snow White ride).Anytime we go over a bump in the car Kate will say "Wow big Pirate ride". She is hilarious about Disneyland and is constantly talking about it and asking when she can go back. We sure hope it won't be too long away before we get to go back:). This was a cute picture taken of Kate and Allyson when the Manwarings came to visit in March.

First Sleep over

I am a little late posting this but I guess better late then never. In February Mallory (Kate's cousin) came to our house for a sleepover. Kate and her had so much fun playing non stop all day. They played dress up, watched princess movies, went on a horse ride and best of all they got to go eat at Artic Circle and play on the toys. We were sad when Mallory had to leave early because both her and Kate got sick, I guess that is what happens when you play too hard for two days straight. Kate sure talks about Mallory quite often and is always asking when she is going to come to her house again. We sure hopes she can come again before we move!!

Not sick again?

Our sweet little Kate has had a fever for the past couple of days and hasn't felt very good. We feel so bad because she has had just about everything this winter. She kept saying "Mom I think I have a little fever" and "I just don't feel very good" she is still so nice even when she is sick. Anytime she would see Savannah she would say, "Banny I am really sick" she wants to make sure everyone knows :). She told me the only thing that would make her feel better is laying in her Mom and Dad's bed. So she has been spending lots of time resting in our bed. We sure hope she gets feeling better.

Another meaning to the word "BABY PROOF"

It is funny because I remember when Kate was Savannah's age and I heard people talking about having to baby proof their houses, I thought come on what is there to really baby proof? Well Savannah has taught me the answer to my question. It is pretty funny to see all the different things she can get into, things that I had no idea could be dangerous or messy. She keeps us going. I guess she has found another thing I will need to baby proof.

Tagged

My sister In law Megan Tagged me more than a month ago and I am just getting around to doing it. Sorry megan. I think these are pretty fun to read, the whole time i was writing this Nicholas kept asking if I was writing my life story so sorry if it is pretty long!

20 years ago- I was 3 years old living in Sandpoint Idaho. I stayed home with my Mom doing probably most of the same things Kate does, except I think I was a little more bossy and fisted (so I’ve been told).

10 years ago- I was 13 years old, I was in the eight grade. This was the year I thought I was going to try to be athletic and did Track. Well it didn’t last long I think I went to all of two meets and then I gave up. It was to bad because from what I can remember I was pretty good at the hurdles.

5 years ago- I was 18 years old, going to my first year of college at ISU. I was studying to be a Special Ed Teacher. I was living with 3 great roommates: Teresa, Brittany and Charish, we sure had a lot of fun together. I worked with Handicap people who I miss dearly, I think this is what started me to want to go into Special Ed. I had not quite yet met the man of my dreams :).

3 years ago- I was 20 years old. Nicholas and I had been married for a year and a half. We were living in Ogden (the same place as we are now), I was pregnant and going to school at Weber. I was very anxious and excited to get our baby girl here. I was very busy with school and Alamo Storage, it is so funny because I look back at those times and think what did I ever do with my time?

1 year ago- I was 22 years old, living still in Ogden. I was pregnant with my sweet Savannah. I ran Alamo Storage and was home with Kate, I also watched a little girl for awhile at this time named Gerogie, Kate loved her. Nicholas was very busy at this time with school and studying for the MCAT so Kate and I were home lots playing and getting ready for our new baby.

So far this year- I have loved having all of us home in the mornings making big breakfasts and not getting out of my pajama until 10. Watching American Idol with Nicholas and The Bachelor (even though Nicholas pretends he doesn’t like this he for some reason always is around when I am watching it and loves throwing his comments in here or there.) We love our DVR because we can watch these when our girls are asleep. I had so much fun watching my two girls grow up and seeing all the new things they are learning and doing every day. I love being able to be a stay at home Mom with my two girls, something I hope I will always get to do. Spending lots and lots of time with Nicholas which I wish could be always, but I know this one will have to end probably when he gets into school.

Yesterday- I went to my favorite store Costo worked out at Lady Fitness. Played with my girls, cleaned my house, managed my office, rocked my baby. Made play dough with Kate and did it all over again. We went and watched Nicholas rope and brought pizza with us for Dinner. My girls love being outside and watching their Dad rope. Even Savannah is so excited and trys to get the horses constantly. We sure have a fun time.

Today- I was very busy in our office today so I was stuck answering the phone and helping costumers more than I wanted to. It was pretty nice out so we outside for a lot of the day playing in our sand box and swinging the girls. I made Costa Rica Sundays (thanks Megan) did lots of laundry, picked up the house and played with the girls.

Later Tonight- I am going to go talk and Laugh with my husband about our days. He was gone almost all day so I love it when we get to hear about each others days and spend time with him.

Tomorrow- We are going to go to my Grandmas house with my Mom and Nicholas and I are going to go on a Date, something that we don’t do often that we should probably start to.

This year- I cannot wait till it finally gets warm. We will probably go to a few rodeos and spend lots of time outside. We are moving in July so that will be the big event of our year. I am excited to get to start a new chapter in our lives.
I tag anyone who wants to do something fun!!

First Steps

My little baby who doesn't seem like much of a baby anymore has started to walk. She took her first steps on March 21st, and since then she hasn't stopped! She is pretty brave and doesn't let a fall stop her. She is absolutely hilarious she will see something she wants and just go for it with remembering that she can't really get that far. She takes about 4 or 5 steps that ends with a big crash. She thinks it is so fun and she will just look at us and laugh at herself kinda like did you see that, and then take of crawling for what she wanted. She also loves to stand by herself which she has got mastered pretty well. I followed her around with our camera and these were the best pictures I could get, our dang camera has a delay on it which makes things like this impossible to get a good picture. I also have a cute video that I need to post but my blogger won't let us for some reason so I will have to try again later. It is so funny to us that she is so brave and willing to walk, because Kate we really had to work with and she was pretty nervous of walking. Kate was about 14 months when she took her first steps. It is so amazing that two little sisters can be so different. This little Savannah is absolutely hilarious and has been so much fun. We can't wait to have her be a full time walker.
