Magical!!!

Before....... ......And After

If I had one word to use to describe Christmas it would be MAGICAL! There is something about Christmas that is so special and wonderful that makes it the best day of the year. I know as a child I have always loved it but now being parents it makes Christmas so much better. Nicholas and I had so much fun getting ready for this day we were sad to see it gone. Christmas Eve we went to a live nativity that some people in our ward put on and it was so neat, It defiantly made it very easy to remember why we celebrate Christmas. It was snowing while we were watching it and there was the best feeling it was a great way to get ready to start Christmas.

Savannah got this doll/glow worm from my Mom and it was by far her favorite. The second she saw it she started giving it kiss after kiss. As you can see in the picture she wasn't going to let this doll get away from her. It was the sweetest thing. Kate absolutely loved her kitchen and played and played all day. She didn't even take a nap because she didn't want to leave her toys. She loved cooking things in the oven for us and it was funny to see how she how much she would imitate the things she has seen us do while we cook.

Our two girls playing with their Dad (one of their favorite things.)

We woke up and we had had so much snow we decide to go sliding. We have a big hill in our back yard that was a perfect snow hill. It was so sunny on Christmas and was the prettiest day. We had a perfect Christmas and hope every one else did also. This picture is hillarious because Kate's hat is falling off and she has a binky but our baby Van doesn't. Do you see anything wrong with that picture :)? I know Kate doesn't

Baby Shave

Ever since Kate has been old enough to walk she has always loved watching her dad shave. When she learned of Santa last year she started calling it "Ho Ho" ( I guess because it looks like Santa's beard). Nicholas always has put it on her face which she has loved. So we decided that she could try shaving with her Dad, except she would use a spoon. She though it was hilarious at first but then she became very concentrated as you can she in the pictures. I guess the reason I thought of this was because I would always do this with my dad and loved it until I got cut because I found the real razor. (I will always have to be very careful about that.) I think I will only do this once and hope she will forget. :)

Kate's First Snowman

Kate and her Dad decided to make their first of many snowmen together a couple of weeks ago. It snowed just enough for the perfect snowman. We thought we had racked all of our leaves up but our snowman proved us wrong, oops :) We improvised and used rolos candies as the eyes and celery for the arms. They fell out pretty fast and it didn't take long for Kate to figure out that she could eat the snowman's arms and eyes. It was pretty funny. They had so much fun.

Nicholas had quite the workout rolling the balls. Kate thought it was hilarious and tried doing it herself.

Here is Kate ready to play in the snow. Nicholas got her all ready and dressed, what a cute little girl she is!!

The Baldwins as Elfs

I thought this was hilarious. I especially think Kate's is funny because these are dance moves that I have actually seen her do before. We also loved Savannah's mad face in hers. Thanks Emily for this website Kate loved it.

Nicholas got his acceptance to Pacific Northwet University in Yakima Washington. We are so exited to have an end to our very long journey. We kinda knew all along this is where we were suppose to go. I am so proud of Nicholas he has worked so hard and has been so determined. He is such a great Husband and Father and know he will be a great Doctor.
