New Hair Cut

The last thing we did on our trip to Idaho was Kate and I both got our hair cut. I have trimmed Kate's hair before but this was the first time she has had a "real haircut." My nice sister- in law Meggan cut our hair and did a great job like always. The whole time Kate was getting her hair cut she had a big smile and kept saying "Oh I look so cute," "This is going to be so cute" (She had been listening to us a little too closely). And she was right she looked darling. It probably isn't enough off for anyone to really notice but it sure looks so different to us. That nigh she got her hair cut she told me "I can't believe I get to sleep with my new hair cut." What a funny little girl, Thanks again Meggan you made Kate's day!!

The last of four

We had four babies born within about a month of eachother. Ledger King Baldwin was the last on them. When we were in Idaho we got to see him. Kate was very excited to hold him and the whole way to Nathan and Meggan's house she kept asking "what that babies name again" I would tell her Ledger and then she would say " Oh I want to hold that baby." She still talks about how much she loves him. He is a sweet little guy and we are so glad he is here. Congratulations Nathan and Meggan!!!

Fun at the ZOO

When we were up in Idaho we went to the Tautphaus Park zoo. For the past 3 years we have lived in Utah we have gone to the Hogle Zoo but this year we decided to try out a new zoo. My mom volunteers at this zoo so it was fun to have our own tour guide. Nicholas' sisters Megan and Ashley and both thier families came. We had so much fun, I forget how much we love the zoo, there is so much to see. It is safe to say that both of our girls take after me when it comes to animals.
We got to see the Monkeys get feed and it was hillarious. The monkeys darted out of the cage they were in and jumped against the window and grabbed thier food (which was egss and peanut beutter on bread). They were pilling there eggs as fast as they could. I don't think I have ever heard so many kids laugh so hard at the same time. Kate was especially lauging so hard and she didn't stop anytime soon. We are still talking about those monkeys and everytime we do she goes to giggling. Vanny had her pointer out the whole time saying "ooh" she would have loved to really get down to see a closer view of them but I was a little worried she would get a little too close. My favorite picture is the one of all of the kids sitting on the egg nest looking at this little boy who would not get out. You would think with 8 kids staring at you, that maybe it would make you want to leave. Not this kid, I think he really would have been there longer if his parents didn't get him out. We had so much fun with our families and it is always so fun when we get to see them. Kate is constantly wanting to talk about her Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas and Grandpas. We will all miss them so much. Thanks for coming to the zoo it will be a fun memorie to remeber!!

Miss show off

We got to watch Sydney (Nicholas' sister Jill's little girl) a couple of days and it was very entertaining to see these two little one year olds interacting together. They are only 5 weeks apart and this was really the first time they had been together at our house with both of them walking. Savannah was doing everything in her power to make anyone laugh. She kept pretending to fall down and then would sequel and yell until someone would laugh at her, she actually didn't even care if you laughed just as long as you were watching her. She then kept trying to get Sydney to follow her back to the Do-jo. She then proceeded to try to climb on top of Kate's bike. This was a new thing that was pretty interesting to watch. She pulled out every trick up her sleeve and I don't think Sydney was even paying attention, but Vanny had no idea. This made me think how fun it would be to have twins and how entertaining it would be to see two of the same little people interact, I can only hope and until then I will pretend anytime I get the chance.

Update

We have been going non stop for the past couple of weeks, and i don't think it will slow down anytime soon. It has been a while since I have posted anything and I have lots to catch up. We have had such a fun summer so far and have definitely enjoyed our last weeks of freedom :). We really only have about 5 weeks before we move and it is coming very fast. We are all very excited to get to start the next part of our lives but at the same time sad to be moving away from Ogden, which has been such a fun part of our lives. We have made the best memories here at Alamo Storage. It will be very sad for me to leave my first home that we have had as a family. But on the other had it will be great to get to make new memories in out new home in Washington. We have been up to Idaho, the Zoo, Lagoon and have even bought a new van in all of this craziness .It might take me a couple of days to get all of our posts up but I will do it soon.

Is it really June?

Before we got all bundled up.

And after

We cannot even believe how cold the weather has been considering we are starting the second week in June. We went to Evenston today for a Rodeo. It was in the high
50's low 60's (which is to dang cold anyway) and I knew it would be a little colder when we got to Evenston so I of coarse packed coats and blankets thinking I was probably over doing it, and lets just say we used every bit of clothing I brought. It was in the 40's!!!!! We were dying. I am ready for summer and hope it will be here for a long time to make up for such a cold spring.

Our little bookworm

Ever since Savannah could walk she loved carrying books around. She now will carry a book to you and either whine and fuss until you pick her up so you can read her the book, or back up until she lands in your lap. Kate also loved books at this age, except she would only let you read a page before she was done and went on her way. But our little Vanny listens so intensely and will constantly be looking up at you and smiling while you read to her. Yesterday I got her a basket down of books and she sat there for at least 10 minutes going through each book. She sure is at a fun age and we love to watch all of the new things she is learning.

A FUN DAY!!!!

We had such a blast on Friday. We started our day off by going to Ikea. I had been their once before but it was very fast. So I loved going back and spending lots of time there and especially getting to go with Nicholas. We could have spend a whole day there. Nicholas and I like to shop a little especially when we think we are getting a deal so this was right up our ally, because everything was priced so reasonable. I also loved how family friendly it was for our kids, I think they loved it as much as us. We know we will have to buy some things before we move so we are excited to go back and start packing are cart full:).
After shopping we planned to do to a big roping in Draper. We love being able to go to roping's or to rodeos as a family, and especially love it when they are close to our house. I do however forget how long they can be. The girls both love being around horses, even Savannah only being 1 is in love with riding or touching a horse. Her and Kate are constantly wanting to ride with there Dad. We had so much fun cheering on Nicholas. He had 3 loud cheerleaders in the bleachers. We especially love it when Nicholas wins at Rodeos, so we were very happy when he won first place and won a saddle. I love it when he does well!!! We had a great day and his win topped it off for us. We will sure miss all of the fun things we do and all of the time we get to spend with Nicholas. He makes everything we do so much fun and he is my favorite person to be with. We will just have to continue to soak up these last weeks as much as we can :).

Both the girls in their boots and lets just say it was pretty darn hilarious to see Savannah walk in these. Anytime Kate sees her Dad in his boots Kate will say "I need to go get my boots I'm a cowgirl."

Here is Vanny making sure the horses are still there. She spent lots of time watching her Dad and ht horses.

Here is Kate in the bleachers singing and dancing. She is constantly making up songs and dances...She is too funny.

Savannah loves to carry things, so for most of the day she was walking everywhere with this Gatorade in her hands.

This is a picture of Nicholas with his partner holding there saddles. Sorry the picture is so dark.
